Whoa!! These everyday paintings go really hard! I love THE HAND OF GROMMLET, I wish I got to see more of Grommlet in our Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign (sorry for leaving as soon as the battle started despite the nicely drawn map). However, I am also very excited about the Lego Cartoodle Campaign.
I have been listening to Against the Fall of Night by Sungazer while reading this post and the music really complements the reading experience. I remember you showing me Sungazer, Vol. 1 way back when and not really getting it, but I'm quickly falling in love now! Will definitely give their catalogue a relisten.
Thanks for shouting out my blog! I'm going to read their blogs after finishing this comment.
We may return to Grommlet sometime since I’ll probably use it as my standard pastoral village. “Grommlet” is a riff on Gygax’s The Village of Hommlet, which is like the og starting adventure and itself a riff on “hamlet” which is a word for a small village. The original module is populated with NPCs who were retired PCs from Gygax’s campaign, so it could be cool to have Dan, Smert, and Tabitha show up in a Wanderhome game or something.
